Get to know the option

A connected plan for several spaces.

Several missing teeth do not always require one implant per tooth. For adjacent spaces, two or more implants may support a bridge. Separate spaces may be better suited to individual implant crowns.

  • A fixed option for more than one missing tooth
  • An implant bridge can span adjacent spaces
  • A plan based on which teeth are missing

From healing time to everyday care, here are the details that help you feel more prepared.

Book a free consultation
Do I need an implant for every missing tooth?
Not always. A bridge may replace several adjacent teeth using fewer implants. Separate missing teeth may need individual implants. The bite and available bone determine the design.
What does the bridge estimate cover?
803 Dental does not publish a separate multiple-implant package price on its implant page. Ask for a written quote stating the teeth replaced, implants, connectors, and final bridge or crowns.
How do I clean under an implant bridge?
Your team can demonstrate tools that reach beneath the connected teeth, such as floss threaders or interdental brushes. The right tool and technique depend on the bridge design.
Can several implants be placed together?
Often they can be planned in one surgical visit, but site preparation, grafting, health, and comfort needs may make staged visits more appropriate.
Is the implant consultation really free?
Yes. Your implant consultation with Dr. Xu, exam, and 3D scan are free. You can discuss your options, treatment costs, and payment plans without pressure to start treatment. Any treatment is quoted separately.
What is included in my treatment quote?
Your written plan should list the implants, connectors, temporary and final teeth, and follow-up visits. It should also show any extra charges for extractions, grafting, or sedation, plus maintenance and financing terms. Review the full total with Dr. Xu before choosing treatment.
Is 803 Dental locally owned?
Yes. 803 Dental is owned by Dr. Yenan Xu, your local dentist in Fort Mill, and is independently operated rather than part of a corporate dental chain. Our local ownership helps us pass savings on to patients through our implant pricing. You will receive an individual treatment plan with the full cost explained.
How do I know which implant option fits me?
Start with the number and position of missing teeth, then compare fixed and removable options. A clinical exam and appropriate imaging are needed to assess bone, gums, bite, and health. This website cannot determine eligibility.
Will the procedure hurt?
Your team will discuss local anesthesia and any appropriate sedation options. Soreness and swelling can follow surgery. Ask for a written comfort plan and the expected recovery for your specific procedure.
How long does treatment take?
Plan for multiple visits and several months of healing in many cases. Grafting or staged surgery can add time. Early replacement teeth may be temporary; ask for separate dates for surgery, healing checks, and final teeth.
What if I have bone loss or gum disease?
Neither question can be settled online. Gum disease may need treatment first, and bone loss may require grafting or a different plan. A scan and assessment help identify suitable options.
Am I too old for dental implants?
Age alone does not decide suitability. Overall health, medications, bone, healing capacity, and the ability to maintain the restoration matter. Discuss your medical history with the treating clinician.
Can I get implants if I smoke or have diabetes?
Tobacco use and some medical conditions can affect healing. Tell the clinician about nicotine, diabetes control, medications, and prior treatments so they can evaluate and help reduce your individual risks.
What are the risks?
Risks include infection, failure to integrate, bleeding, nerve or sinus injury, and restoration complications. Your clinician should explain the risks relevant to your anatomy, alternatives, and what happens if an implant fails.
How long do implants last?
Implants can serve for many years, but no result is guaranteed. The crown, bridge, denture, or attachment components may need repairs or replacement. Daily cleaning and continuing professional care remain essential.
What can I eat, and when can I return to work?
Your surgery and anesthesia determine your recovery instructions. Plan some downtime and follow the prescribed soft-food progression. Do not treat receiving new teeth as permission to resume unrestricted chewing.
Does insurance cover dental implants?
Coverage varies by plan, exclusions, waiting periods, and annual limits. Request a benefits review and written estimate before treatment. A benefit estimate is not a guarantee of payment.
Can I spread out the cost?
803 Dental works with CareCredit, Cherry, and HFD. Explore the financing links on this page or ask our team to help you understand the options. Approval, rates, and monthly payments vary. Review the APR, term, down payment, and total repayment before choosing a plan.
